Commercial MVHR ventilation

MVHR — Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery — supplies fresh outdoor air to occupied spaces while extracting stale indoor air, recovering up to ~75% of the temperature difference through a plate heat exchanger. The compliant answer to Building Regs Part F in tightly-sealed modern buildings where natural ventilation isn't enough.

Key benefits

01

Meets Part F without opening windows

Delivers required fresh-air rates continuously — critical in airtight buildings where ad-hoc ventilation isn't compliant.

02

Recovers ~75% of heat

The heat-exchanger core pre-warms incoming winter air using outgoing stale air — cuts heating load significantly.

03

Filters incoming air

F7 filtration standard, HEPA optional — traps pollen, PM2.5 and traffic pollutants.

04

Runs quietly and continuously

Designed for 24/7 operation at ~28-32 dB(A) at the grille.

    MVHR — VAM range

Commercial MVHR delivering fresh air with up to ~76% heat recovery.

Daikin VAM heat-recovery ventilation unit — supplies filtered outdoor air, extracts stale indoor air, and recovers up to ~76% of the temperature difference across a plate heat exchanger (EN 308). F7 filtration standard, HEPA optional, DIII-Net compatible for BMS scheduling. Sized 250-2000 m³/h.

Frequently asked

Do I need MVHR if I already have air conditioning?
Yes if the building is airtight — AC recirculates conditioned indoor air; it doesn't bring in fresh outdoor air. Building Regs Part F requires a specified fresh-air rate that only ventilation systems (natural or mechanical) can deliver.
What heat-recovery efficiency should MVHR achieve?
Modern commercial MVHR should achieve at least 70% sensible heat recovery efficiency; the Daikin VAM range achieves up to ~76% depending on model, measured to EN 308.
