Privacy policy

How AccuTemp collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data — including the cookies this website sets.

Last updated: 5 July 2026

AccuTemp Air Conditioning Ltd ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect through this website and our services, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

Who we are

The data controller is AccuTemp Air Conditioning Ltd, Justa House, 204-206 Holbrook Lane, Coventry, CV6 4DD. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, email sales@accutemp.co.uk.

Data we collect

We collect the contact details you submit through our quote and contact forms — typically name, email address, phone number, company and postal address — together with the message you send us. Where we deliver installation, maintenance or compliance services, we also hold operational data about the equipment and sites we work on.

How we use your data

We use your data to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, deliver our services, issue invoices, and meet our legal obligations (including F-Gas register upkeep, TM44 lodgement and accounting records). The lawful bases we rely on are: your consent (for optional cookies and marketing communications), performance of a contract (for work we carry out for you), and legal obligation (for statutory records).

Cookies and similar technologies

When you first visit this site, we ask you to choose which categories of cookies to allow. You can revisit that choice at any time by opening from this page or the site footer.

We use three categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to work (page routing, form submission, remembering your cookie choice). These are always on and cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics — off by default. If you opt in, we may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are read so we can improve the site. No third-party analytics or advertising script loads until you opt in.
  • Marketing — off by default. We do not currently run advertising or remarketing tags; the toggle exists so that consent can be recorded transparently if we ever add them.

Your choice is stored locally in your browser (in localStorage under the key at.cookie-consent.v1) so we can remember it on your next visit. Clearing your browser data will reset the choice and the banner will appear again.

Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate our business (for example, our accountants and the F-Gas registry) and where we are required to do so by law.

Retention

We keep enquiry data only for as long as needed to answer your enquiry, and contract records for the period required by UK accounting and F-Gas record-keeping obligations.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these rights, email sales@accutemp.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes to our cookie categories will trigger the consent banner again so you can review your choice.
