Ceiling-suspended commercial air conditioning

Under-ceiling suspended units mount to the soffit and blow along the ceiling line, avoiding wall real estate and coping with ceilings up to 3.8m without capacity loss. The Coanda-effect airflow (up to 100°) delivers even coverage across wide rooms — ideal where a cassette can't sit because there's no false ceiling to recess into.

Key benefits

01

Works without a false ceiling

Surface-mounted to the soffit — the only serious option when the ceiling void isn't available.

02

Even coverage of wide rooms

100° Coanda-effect discharge angle spreads air along the ceiling before it drops, avoiding cold-spot complaints.

03

Handles high ceilings

Rated to heat or cool rooms with ceilings up to 3.8m at nameplate capacity.

04

Quiet in occupied spaces

Advance and Alpha variants run down to ~29 dB(A) in low fan mode — quieter than a domestic fridge.

05

Full inverter range

Four model tiers (Advance, Alpha, Mini Sky Air, Standard) let us match spec to budget without switching manufacturer.

Daikin model families

  • 01
    FHA-A / RZASG-M

    Under-ceiling Advance

Value-led commercial spec paired with Sky Air Advance.

Combination with the Sky Air Advance outdoor gives good total value for typical commercial applications. Stylish flush unit with fully-closing louvres, 100° Coanda discharge, built-in DIII network compatibility, and R-32 refrigerant.

  • 02
    FHA-A / RZAG-N

    Under-ceiling Alpha

    Best-in-class efficiency for spec-driven projects.

Paired with Sky Air Alpha for the highest SEER/SCOP figures in the range. Same 100° discharge and 3.8m ceiling reach as Advance, with tighter part-load performance for buildings that run long hours.

  • 03
    FHA-A9 / RZAG-A

Under-ceiling Mini Sky Air (50m pipe run)

Long pipe runs where the outdoor has to go far away.

Mini Sky Air outdoor extends the total refrigerant pipe run to 50m — useful when planners restrict outdoor unit locations, or in listed buildings where the condenser must sit out of sight.

  • 04
    FHA-A9 / RXM-A

    Under-ceiling Standard inverter

Split outdoor for small retail, offices or hybrid residential.

Paired with a standard split outdoor unit — the most economical spec in the family, suited to small retail units, single-office fit-outs, and mixed residential/commercial buildings.

Frequently asked

What's the difference between ceiling-suspended and cassette AC?
Ceiling-suspended (under-ceiling) units mount to the soffit and are visible; cassette units recess into a suspended false ceiling and sit flush. Use suspended when there's no false ceiling — an exposed-structure retail unit, a school hall, a workshop — and cassette when the ceiling void is available.
Do ceiling-suspended units work in rooms with high ceilings?
Yes — the Daikin FHA range is rated to heat and cool rooms with ceilings up to 3.8m at nameplate capacity, using the 100° Coanda discharge to sweep air along the ceiling before it drops.
Which Daikin FHA model should I specify?
Alpha for efficiency-critical or long-hours projects; Advance for standard commercial; Mini Sky Air when the outdoor unit has to be over 30m from the indoor; Standard for small offices and retail where budget wins. All four use R-32.
